Greta Lee has long been a rising star. This year, she’s getting her well overdue recognition. Her role in Past Lives resulted in many award nominations, which, in turn, has blessed us with some stunning red-carpet moments from the actress. At the Critics Choice Awards, Lee paired glittery menswear from Loewe with a slicked-back hairstyle that let her gorgeous facial features shine. This look has inspired us to revive the wet look, and luckily, we know how Lee’s stylist did it.

The key to the look was the finishing touch: NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Shine Oil Mist ($19), which celebrity hairstylist Takuya Yamaguchi says helped her give Lee “an effortless wet and shiny look.” Before she got to that final step, Yamaguchi massaged Lee’s scalp with NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Clean Scalp Balancing Sake Rinse ($19), followed by Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner ($27) “to give her hair long-lasting moisture to fight against frizz.”

Once Lee’s hair was towel-dried, Yamaguchi sprayed it with NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Repair Leave-In Conditioner ($12). She applied it all over the hair, but with a main focus on the ends to prepare them for heat styling.

Yamaguchi then blew out Lee’s hair, added some texture with a curling iron throughout sections and parted it at the side. Then came the final touch with the Shine Oil Mist to create the perfect wet look.
