With over 150 shows—each with an over three hour duration—across 5 continents, Swift is pretty much superhuman for being able to keep up with this legendary endeavor.
While we know she’s trained extensively and has her pre-performance regimen down to a science, there’s one thing even Taylor Swift can’t control, and that’s the weather. Throughout the Eras Tour, Swift has taken to the stage in extreme heat and pouring rain, but at her most recent show in Singapore, she admitted that her iconic blonde strands stood no chance against the southeast Asian heat.
Singapore’s Humidity Brings Out Taylor’s Natural Hair
Throughout Taylor’s multi-hour, multi-album show, the Grammy Award–winning singer not only takes fans through all of her eras, she also takes them on a journey through multiple show-stopping looks. Regardless of the weather or how long Swift has been on stage for, her hair and makeup are almost always without a single flaw. At her show in Singapore this week, though, Swift had a relatable, candid moment with fans when her hair succumbed to the intense humidity.
While Swift usually rocks her blonde strands in a sleek, straightened style on tour, the 90 degree weather and upwards of 90 percent humidity brought out the singer’s natural texture while performing. As her natural waves took full form, Swift said to the 55,000 person audience that “As you can see, my hair has returned to its factory settings, thanks to the humidity here. I’m not complaining, I like it.” She went on to commend the fans for keeping their energy up despite the temps, and honestly, as a girl whose hair crimps if I even think about humidity, it’s comforting to know that even Taylor’s hair is no match for dewy weather.
