Tonight’s 76th Emmy Awards gave us endless eye candy, from stunning gowns to snatched skin. Second-skin foundation has been a big trend on the red carpet in recent years, but at this year’s show, one specific product grabbed the spotlight. CHANEL Ultra Le Teint Ultrawear All-Day Comfort Flawless Finish Foundation ($65) perfected the complexions of four leading ladies. See who, and get the inside scoop from their makeup artists, below.

Jennifer Aniston
Celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin was inspired by a ray of light when creating Aniston’s makeup look. “When I saw her dress [a beaded Oscar de la Renta gown], it just made me feel like I’m in the presence of sunshine. I wanted that to be reflected in the makeup look. For Jennifer’s complexion, I applied two shades of foundation. I mixed CHANEL Ultra Le Teint in BR42 and BD51. The skin naturally has different tones, so by applying two shades of foundation, you end up creating a more natural look, all while achieving full-coverage glam.”

The liquid foundation has a luminous-matte finish that controls shine and blurs imperfections. It’s also sweat-proof and transfer-proof, but it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. The addition of glycerin gives it hydrating benefits, which makes it a great option for mature skin, too.
Maya Rudolph
“For tonight’s look, I wanted Maya to have a glowing complexion, flushed cheek and a playful, bright lip,” says celebrity makeup artist Molly Stern of the SNL actress. “Maya brings so much joy to everyone with her humor and talent. Therefore, I wanted her beauty look to exude the heat of a good hearty laugh.” For Maya’s complexion, Stern first applied CHANEL Ultra Le Teint in BD41 as a highlighter. “I applied a small amount under her eyes, onto her upper cheek bones and upper jawline, as well as on the bridge of her nose.”

Nicola Coughlan
Celebrity makeup artist Adam Breuchaud was inspired by the gorgeous structure and shine of Nicola’s dress. The Bridgerton actress look striking in a structural sequin gown. “I decided to reflect this monochromatic vibe onto her makeup look, but in a fresh, soft way. I achieved this by applying mauvy-pinky, saturated and fresh tones.” On her skin, Breuchaud used Ultra Le Teint in shade B20, which he applied after prepping her skin with two hydrating skin-care products: Sublimage Le Fluide Emulsion ($345) and N°1 de CHANEL Revitalizing Serum ($165).

Nicole Beharie
“Nicole’s makeup look was inspired by the timeless elegance of CHANEL,” says celebrity makeup artist Rebekah Aladdin. “It embraces femininity with a touch of simple, yet sophisticated, techniques that highlighted her natural beauty for a classic red-carpet look.” To even out the actress’s skin tone for a luminous look, Aladdin applied Ultra Le Teint in shade BD61. Beharie is nominated tonight for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in The Morning Show.
